Privacy, Security & Cookie Policy
This privacy policy explains how I (Andrew D. Pope of Eryr Glas Ltd.) either do or do not collect, use, share and transfer your personal data when you use any of the websites or services I provide (“my Sites”) & (my “Services”).
Personal data is any information about you by which you can be identified. This can include information such as your name, date of birth, email address, postal address, phone number, mobile number, debit/credit card details, information about your device (such as the IP address, which is a numerical code to identify your device that can provide information about the country, region or city where you are based) and information relating to your personal circumstances and how you use my sites, apps and services.
Sometimes my sites may contain links to third party sites and services. These sites and services have their own privacy policies. If you follow a link to a third party, you should read the privacy policy shown on their site.
What personal data do I collect and how do I collect and use it?
I only collect any personal data when you voluntarily sign up for any of my informational e-mails, download any of my online free resources, contact me using my onsite contact forms or other electronic means such as webinar registrations or call bookings. I will also collect various items of personal data, with your full consent, in order to progress and facilitate your direct purchase of any of my professional services and this might occur via telephone or other electronic means or by face to face communication.
I use personal data collected this way for several purposes, including the following:
- To progress and facilitate your direct purchase of any of my professional services.
- To send marketing communications when I have your permission, or when permitted by law.
- To improve my marketing communications, I may use e-mail marketing services which uses a similar technology to cookies to confirm whether you have opened a marketing e-mail or clicked on any links in the e-mail.
- For statistical purposes such as analysing the performance of my sites and to understand how visitors use them.
- To respond to your queries and to resolve complaints.
- For security and fraud prevention, and to ensure that my sites are safe and secure and used in line with my terms of use.
- To comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Legal grounds for using your personal data
I will only use your personal data where I have legal grounds to do so. I determine the legal grounds based on the purposes for which I have collected and used your personal data. In every case, the legal ground will be one of the following:
- Consent: For example, where you have provided your consent to receive marketing e-mails from me. You can withdraw your consent at any time. In the case of marketing e-mails, you can withdraw your consent by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the e-mail.
- My legitimate interests: Where it is necessary for me to understand my visitors, promote my services and operate my site efficiently for the creation, publication and distribution of content. For example, I will rely on my legitimate interest when I analyse what content has been viewed on my site so that I can understand how it is used.
- Performance of a contract with you (or in order to take steps prior to entering into a contract with you): For example, where you have contacted me via e-mail, an online contact form, telephone or any other form of direct communication to order a service then I would need to take and use your various contact details and payment information in order to process your order and deliver your service.
- Compliance with law: In some cases, I may have a legal obligation to use or keep your personal data.
Using children’s personal data
I do NOT engage with or offer or promote any of my products directly at anyone under the age of 18 and I do not knowingly collect or retain any personal data about anyone under the age of 18.
Security of your personal data
My sites and services are operated to extremely high security standards, which are constantly reviewed and maintained. I have implemented appropriate technical and organisational controls to protect your personal data against unauthorised processing and against accidental loss, damage or destruction. Although I will do my best to protect your personal data once with me, I cannot guarantee the security of any personal data sent to me via the site while still in transit so you provide it at your own risk.
Who do I share your personal data with?
I do not share or sell your personal data with any third parties, other than in cases already specified herein, either within or outside the EU.
How long do I keep your personal data?
I keep your personal data only for as long as I need to. How long I need your personal data depends on what I am using it for, as set out in this privacy policy. For example, I may need to use it to answer your queries about a product or service and as a result, may keep personal data while you are still using my product or services. I may also need to keep your personal data for accounting purposes, for example, where you have bought a product or service. If I no longer need your data, I will delete it or make it anonymous by removing all details that identify you. If I have asked for your permission to process your personal data and I have no other lawful grounds to continue with that processing, and you withdraw your permission, I will delete your personal data. However, when you unsubscribe from marketing communications, I will keep your e-mail address to ensure that I do not send you any marketing in future.
How I may contact you
- Marketing communications and editorial newsletters: If I have your permission, I may send you materials by e-mail that I think may interest you. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of an e-mail.
- Responding to your queries or complaints: If you have raised a query or a complaint with me, I may contact you to answer your query or to resolve your complaint.

Currently, the only cookies on my websites are the usual cookies operated by Google such as those used to obtain general visitor/site-use statistics. On some sites I do occasionally use Facebook tracking pixels for visitor usage tracking purposes only. On some sites I do also occasionally use engagement enhancing apps such as Optin Monster and these apps may use cookies to avoid multiple displays or requests to individual viewers in order to improve their experience of my site. I do not knowingly use any other cookies on this website. By using my website you agree to the use of the cookies and tracking pixels explained above, or you may opt out of or disable these cookies and pixels by adjusting the settings in your browser (typically in options or settings, and cookies or tracking), and/or by following the specific guidance offered by the organisations concerned, freely available online, enabling very many different options and controls.

I do not place third-party advertising on any of my primary business websites.
If third party advertising is placed by Wordpress.com on my WordPress blog site (https://emotionalintelligenceandyou.blog/), note that I have no direct links with the adverts and take no private information from them at any time. Clicking on these adverts is at the sole discretion of the individual site visitor.
